English or French Language ProficiencyIf your course is in English or French, provide evidence of language proficiency, such as IELTS or TOEFL.
Proof of Funds Funds to cover your tuition fees, living expenses, and return transportation to your home country.
Medical ExaminationYou must undergo a medical exam as part of the study permit application process.
Pay the Application Fee Pay the study permit application fee, which is non-refundable, and keep the payment receipt as proof.
Biometrics Appointment Depending on your country of residence, you may need to visit a VAC to provide biometrics as part of the application process.
Online Application Submit your study permit application online through the official Government of Canada website or a visa application center (VAC) in your country.
Wait for a DecisionAfter submitting your application, wait for a decision from Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Receive the study permitIf your application is approved, you will receive a Port of Entry (POE) Letter of Introduction and a study permit.
