If you are applying for a Canada visitor visitor visa, then you require a specific size and position for a Canada visitor visa photograph
Size:
The photo must be at least 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8" x 1 3/4"). Include two photographs of yourself with your application.
Quality:
The photo must be clear, taken against a plain white or light-coloured background and printed on quality photographic paper.
Expression:
Your face must be square to the camera with a neutral expression, neither frowning nor smiling, and with your mouth closed.
Head position:
Keep your head straight and centered within the frame, with your eyes positioned 28-35mm from the bottom of the photo.
Eye position:
Please position yourself directly in front of the camera and look into the lens with your eyes open.
Hat and head covering:
Only religious head coverings are permitted; even then, your face must be fully visible.
Glasses:
If you wear glasses, ensure there is no glare on the lenses and that your eyes are clearly visible. Sunglasses are not acceptable.
No retouching: Please remember the following:
Do not digitally alter or retouch the photo in any way.
Recent photo:
The photo must be taken within the last six months to reflect your current appearance accurately.
